Pickpick

I really like Irene Hanno's writing. I enjoy the pace, the mystery, and the light romance. this one wasn't my favorite but still recommend.

A Cafecito Story | Julia Alvarez

It is amazing how much better coffee grows when sung to by birds or when through an opened window comes the sound of a human voice reading words on paper that still holds the memory of the tree it used to be.

Reggie I love Julia Alvarez!! In the Name of Salome and !Yo! Are my favorites of hers. 5y

The author founded a coffee cooperative to bring specialty coffee from her farm in the Dominican Republic to the US. This is a short story about coffee, it's farmers and fair trade.
