For #funphotofriday, I'm sharing what is probably not exactly my #firstadultnovel but one of the first I can remember that's not VC Andrews. I was probably about 14 when I read it and while I always was drawn to these kinds of books, it set me on a path that I'm still on today (with slightly better taste. A little more variety, too). P.S. I realize this is a terrible picture.

#FunFridayPhoto - my #firstadultnovel was this book called Grace. I think I was about ten. It was lying around the house after my parents had finished it, so I picked it up. I think Stephen King's "Misery" was next. Soon after, I read 2 other books by Stewart: "Prodigy" and "Birthright". I was always deliberately reading above my grade level...which got a little, um, hairy at times. ? Anyone else ever read this one?

[DELETED] 2232195534 Somehow that cover looks familiar but don't think I've read it. 8y
Reagan I never read that one but I did read Misery when I was young, maybe 10. It led me to a lifelong love of Stephen King and the horror genre. 8y

wanderlustywriter I accidentally picked up my aunt's romance novel when I was around 12 and remember being fascinated/horrified at everything that went on. Also thoroughly confused why "juices" were coming out of the heroine when her love interest touched her (what kind of juice? thought little me) ? 8y
BookBabe @wanderlustywriter ??? Juicy Juice® of course! ??? 8y

Pickpick

#firstadultnovel Judging from where we lived when I read this I was no older than 12 when I read this book. I haven't read it since, so my rating of the book is based on the thrill I felt reading it as a child. I am still obsessed with sci-fi. 😝

TeR Ditto... Loved this & contact 8y
