Blah day! I‘ve been MIA, so busy at work and with everything else, but missing Litsy and feeling guilty. I‘m reading The Heiresses which is cute so far and still slowly working on Atonement. I have my library volunteer shift tonight and am on a mild book buying ban, will it stick? Sources say no.

Mccall0113 May the force be with you! 2w
ljuliel Good luck, ✨✨✨. I‘m trying to do the same. Going off new Kindle and Audible purchases for the foreseeable future. I need to use our library more. 👍🏼 2w

I'm Just a Person | Tig Notaro

Pickpick

Tig Notaro takes us through the hardest year of her life. First bronchitis and a sinus infection lead to a deadly bacteria infection. While she‘s recovering, her mom suddenly dies. She goes through a mutually agreed upon break-up. Then she‘s diagnosed with breast cancer and goes through a bilateral mastectomy. At times funny, Notaro‘s book is an account of tremendous loss, but also tremendous strength. 4/5 ⭐️ #queerbooks

readordierachel I really liked this one 4w
Reggie Does she talk about Taylor Dane? I haven‘t read the book but I saw some interview with her and she talked about Taylor Dane and it was hilarious!!! 3w
PerksOfBeingABookworm @Reggie no she doesn‘t. It pretty much centers on her relationship with her mom, almost dying from the bacteria infection, and then getting breast cancer. 3w

“When we opened the doors, some of the prisoners were still alive. About one third. It had been too little gas. The procedure was repeated with double the amount. We waited two days to open the doors this time. The operation was a success.”

Thanks to #Netgalley, #harpercollins and #annettehess for the opportunity to read this novel in lieu of my honest review.

Soubhiville Oh my god that‘s horrifying. 4w
Lifeisasnap @Soubhiville right? This book is about the trials after WWII some 20 years later. Not the Nuremberg Trials though, those were the years after like 1946 or so. (edited) 4w
