This was a cute book. I enjoyed reading it. I loved that it took place in Ireland a place that I have always wanted to visit. The characters were good. I rated the book a 3 out of 5 stars.

Not getting much reading done at the moment as life is a bit busy blowing me off track!
Anyway, finished this yesterday and loved it. Wish I‘d have been in the position to visit Silver Moon when it was open.
Used one of my Boudicca bookmarks as these women were modern day warriors!

squirrelbrain Fab! I should get round to reading this soon. And don‘t worry - plenty of reading next weekend! 😊 1mo

I didn‘t enjoy this one as much as the first book, The Christmas Bookshop, but it was cute. IMO, it needed way more Christmas-y feels. A soft pick.

I had picked this up for a breezy beach read and while I didn‘t finish it on vacation, I enjoyed this a lot! The characters were great! The male lead dreamy. It did have some heavy moments to it I wasn‘t expecting that honestly hit a little close to home which made me lose a touch of the escapism. But I still loved it and while I‘ve always wanted to go to Ireland, this made me want to even more

If historical fiction doesn't send you down countless Wikipedia holes, is it really good historical fiction? This one had me looking up articles on my phone in the middle of the night. 😂 I liked it a lot.

kspenmoll I enjoyed this too & yes, many rabbit holes to go down! 5mo
Ruthiella When I read books like that, I wonder how I managed in a pre-internet age with usually at most an atlas for locations and a dictionary to look words up! 😅 5mo
PaperbackPirate My book club read this and then we read The Mummy! 4mo

I really liked the narrator, but the MC was awful and the story wasn‘t that good.
An aging actress inherits a bookshop from her aunt who inspired the MC‘d acting and broadway career with her own. From the moment MC returns to her small town, she‘s gets involved with arson and a murder and foolishly thinks she can solve them.
1/5 read for a self aggrandizing MC who makes foolish and short sighted decisions. The narrator is excellent
