Everyone always suggests this one as an amazing horror novel and I kept waiting for some horror. Didn‘t get any. Just got some gross scenes and animal abuse/murder.
Trust me the Boston cream donut was far better than the book 🍩
ALSO he spelled Josef Mengele‘s name wrong and I just cannot even put into words how angry that made me.

cody1018 Without reading your review I basicially just said the same thing. I was not scared at all and really thought what the book would be about would have been a lot more scary. When I found out what the book was about, I said to myself......that's it? I couldn't get past the constant back stories of the characters either. I just wanted some blood and violence. 5y
