What a way to start my reading journey in 2018. The writing is beautiful. This is a book about love and family. It‘s warm and heartbreaking at the same time.

Very glad for the #botmbuddyread Week One Down ✅✅✅ Impression: it's very true for too many Americans, excellent detail and writing. As to the book itself, don't love it, don't hate it. I'm already praying Ward's not going to slice open my veins and bleed me like Toni Morrison in the end. 🤦🏻‍♀️
