5🌟 Another great book. I can‘t wait for the next one on the 18th. Come hell or high water, I‘m coming up with the $6 for this book. Period. The end. I‘m also very excited that in the historical note at the end, Woodbury basically promised more Gareth and Gwen books. That makes me SO happy and excited!!! I can‘t wait to see where these stories will go. I‘m loving the little introduction to Welsh history as well. (cont‘d below)

GingerAntics For the life of me, I can‘t figure out who the titular “Favored Son” is. At least I‘m not nearly as worried about Llelo, now. I thought maybe he was going start feeling like an orphan again, but it doesn‘t seem like that now. I seriously love that kid, no idea why. Dai is really starting to grow on me, too. GingerAntics @Texreader I have absolutely no idea what is going on with this cover art. Apparently we‘ve gone back to horrible covers again. Is that supposed to be Gareth? I‘m just not even sure. It‘s hokie and really doesn‘t go with the story. I thought that had cleared itself up after the one with the murder at the mill and the cover had a mill on it. I guess they fired that designer and brought the original one back. lol 6y

5🌟 Another AMAZING Gareth and Gwen story. The always shifting climate of Welsh royalty is so interesting. The weird ways almost everyone in power is related to everyone else is entertaining. Seeing Llelo growing into a man and making decisions about his own life is amazing. Woodbury does such a great job of weaving her own imagination with history is so well done I don‘t ever want this series to end.

GingerAntics This is the second to last book currently available. I found out at the end of this one that the last one currently available was released in January 2018, and the new book comes out later this month (Sept 2018) so hopefully we won‘t have to wait to long for more books in this series. This series is just so good, I will keep reading these books as long as Sarah Woodbury writes them (which I hope is a really long time). 6y

I‘m so glad we stumbled upon them and then you posted about it. I passed that first one up when I first saw it because I seriously thought it was a romance novel. How wrong we all were. lol (Although this one does have a thing with Evan 😏) 6y

GingerAntics @Texreader it was nice to have that bit of romance, but it was also nice that it was short and sweet so it wasn‘t hijacking the rest of the story. It worked out just the way it should have, I think. I can‘t wait for the new one, though. Even if I probably won‘t get to start it until Friday. lol 6y
