There is some good information here, and I like Mayim Bialik overall, but there are a lot of problems with this book. 2.5 stars, maybe? I would say it is best for children of conservative parents. It is presented in a very binary way, with lip service paid to trans people, and excuses for “boys will be boys”. It does talk about biology matter-of-factly, but also addresses the need for “modesty”. I won‘t be passing this on to my kids.
Weaponxgirl I found her comments about the #meto movement when it first started happening problematic which kinda put me off her. A pity as she is quite inspiring in other ways. 6y
