I love this series. Miss Julia reminds me of one of my favorite aunts. Quirky. Well meaning. Nosy. 🤣. But this book just wasn‘t up to par for me. It focused too much on the “recipes” without much plot. I felt the actual plot was rushed and thrown in at the end. Hopefully the rest of the series gets back on track.

While an overly exciting cozy mystery series, I really enjoy this series. Miss Julia, the main character, reminds me of one of my great-aunts. Just a nice easy cozy read.

Miss Julia discovers the dead body of a woman many know she doesn‘t really like. Too make matters worse she had promised her pastor she wouldn‘t say anything about why she was even going over there. And, of course, another ice storm descends on their small town. A fun mystery and plenty of giggles.

Having had my own unbelievably awful day, that spread out into a week, I could laugh and cry right along with Etta Mae and her Most Awful day (which was really 2). I love this series about Miss Julia, but we were given a much closer look at Etta Mae and where she came from. It‘s worth a few chuckles/laughs.

Sam campaigns for State Senator and someone tries to steal Miss Julia‘s property which includes the trailer park Etta Mae manages. This makes an unforgettable summer.

The Miss Julia books are always such a fun read! Miss Julia is a feisty, old, proper, Southern women who always seems to find herself in the most bizarre situations. This particular story sees Miss Julia on the road to Palm Beach Florida to hunt down some jewelry thieves with her young ward Lloyd, a young women with a questionable reputation and a detective that much to her chagrin can't seem to stay on the wagon. Hilarity ensues!!
