pickI enjoyed this a lot. It‘s violent and heavy-handed but the characters and story are fun. Some of my complaints definitely seem to be assuaged by the ending and I will be reading the next book.
Also, I can now be even more enthusiastic about my hopes to knit the Chrysalis shawl, designed by disyarning inspired by this book 😄

pick4/5⭐ Delightfully quirky characters who fit together so satisfyingly. I look forward to reading more stories with them. I loved seeing frank discussion of boundaries and desires between Nathan and Vlad. My one quibble is that the non-romantic plot came into play only near the end and felt rushed to the resolution. #roll100
pickRead this last week. I‘m not sure if these are getting better or worse… This one a lot and nothing both happened. This one was more about the relationships, which is fine. But I feel like they‘re really dragging out the political situation. I mean, I‘ll keep reading them but meh.

Zetian is determined to redeem her sister when the male pilot outright kills her. She is ready to die for it but is she willing to survive? LOVED the concept. DID NOT like the writing style. pickVery light pick. Caveat that romance novels really aren‘t my genre. My favorite thing about this is just that it was a poly romance. I haven‘t actually seen a story yet where a poly couple was written in a way that couldn‘t be problematic or several levels. But I‘m more interested in these stories existing right now, and starting to normalize open relationships, and starting to show the vast range of ways to live a poly lifestyle.

Not actually sure what neighborhood we‘re supposed to be in, but I‘m currently hanging out in one of those tiny little rent controlled NYC apartments inherited from someone‘s grandma that conveniently seem to pop up everywhere in novels and tv shows but are inconveniently seemingly nowhere to be found in real life.
