pickMention the “Great Fire“ to me, and my mind is likely to turn to the events of London in 1666. But, on October 8th, 1871, four major fires occurred in the Midwest United States. The most well known is the Great Fire of Chicago, which was supposedly started by Mrs. O'Leary's cow (or not).
