pickThis was a fun read. Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon aren't really getting along. So when Obi-Wan finds Orla Jareni's note about a mysterious planet in the Jedi archives, he wants to go explore it. Qui-Gon agrees but then doesn't show up to leave, so Obi-Wan breaks the rules & goes on his own. There, he finds a bunch of kids struggling to survive on their own.

pickWow, wow, wow. I was looking forward reading this book with #StarWarsBuddyRead, but mostly thought it was going to be a nice adventure with young Obi-Wan. Well, I got this, obviously, but so, so much more! The way White portraits this troubled Padawan was so relatable, I was thrown back into my own teen years. I connected on a whole new level with Obi-Wan.

pickPalpatine has just started his reign, and the Jedi have been exterminated as traitors. Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and Saw Gerrera are trying to handle the fall out in their own ways. This is the beginning before the rebellion officially forms. It's also the beginning of a trilogy, and I can't wait for the next two 💙

pickWhy does this feel so current? 😰 I've more than once thought of a certain orange person as Palpatine and after reading this, I think it'll stay with me. Happily, we still got Mon Mothma and Bail Organa fighting for what's right. And I also really want to watch Andor now.
