Finished this last night and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I was (unintentionally) tipped off to the ending, so the wow-factor was lost on me. Overall, though, I definitely think this will hold a lot of appeal for people looking to read a good, twisty, psychological thriller. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 #behindcloseddoors #staysingle

AmbityScambity I need to rant for a second: this book shouldn't have been compared to Gone Girl. In fact, I think every book that has been compared to GG is being done a disservice. That book is in a class all its own, and every time someone claims they've found the next GG, I personally think they're setting readers up for a disappointment and the book up for a bit of failure. Grrr. Ok, rant over. 😀 8y

Merethebookgal I felt the same way when people were saying Girl on the Train was the next Gone Girl...um no. lol. (Though, I might be in the minority with my feelings towards that book 😄) 8y

This was a fast read. I wouldn't compare it to Gone Girl. It didn't have the twist at the end I was hoping for. The wtf ending was missing. The publicity for this book has been excellent though. #staysingle

This book was a lot darker than I thought it would be, I had to put it down sometimes cuz I wasn't ready for what was next. But it was thrilling and intense and left me feeling very satisfied by the end. Check it out come August if you're interested! #staysingle haha

Wow! This is a super unsettling, shiver inducing, "holy sh*t" kind of thriller that is intensely horrifying and riveting all at once. The kind of story that nightmares are made of. #staysingle ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
