I have high hopes for this upcoming month, and plan to average 3 books a day.😅 Overly ambitious? Probably, but I couldn‘t narrow down my list anymore, so I‘ll just try to read them all! 😂

Currently listening to the tagged audio, then onto a few mystery/thrillers before the month is up. February first brings all the romance for the start of #Loveathon.

January 30th to February 5th #weeklyforecast

#booksculpture it didn‘t turn out how I wanted to, so I took a new approach! I didn‘t have enough space to make a heart out of books. So I made hearts. Out of book pages. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I can only listen to audiobooks while doing mindless things so I‘ve been listening to this since October. SO ready to be done with it so yesterday I fired up my Kindle for the first time in quite while and now I‘m reading it with my eyeballs as well. The sync functionality between the two is fantastic! This is the first time I‘ve ever read and listened to the same thing at the same time. (This is a reread before I read ACOSF for the 1st time.)

#20 Court of Wings & Ruin Finished!

Besides this being a chunkster, it felt necessary compared to the previous. Last two pages were superrrr corny but they deserve it after everything. Not cool Sarah, you know what you did! Scaring me like that. The battle was emotional, wholesome seeing who aids & powerful. Everything was interwoven so well. Rollercoaster of a ride.

#19 Court of Wings & Ruin Ch 67

Amren has found a way to wipe Hybern & his army. Humans are winnowed for their own safety. Ianthes fate is finally sealed. Mor reveals a long held secret to Feyre. Elain gets captured by Hybern & a rescue mission ensues. Feyre finds herself in a tough situation & is saved by someone a bit unexpected as per recent events. It‘s coming to the end & idk how to feel 🥺.

This was so much fun! I had forgotten how much fun this kind of easy fast phased books can be! This is quite a big book but it went by really fast. I enjoyed the story and would like to read more similar type of books.

If I read the term “mate” or “vulgar gesture” one more time I was going to burn the book. I try to cut YA slack because it‘s….YA. But this book was annoying. The plot line was great. But these characters made me nuts. I‘ll finish the series but I can‘t wait until I‘m done

Dragon What dip did you have? It looks very yummy 💚🐉 3w
Shemac77 @Dragon it was a French onion dip. I think the brand name is Renee‘s. there‘s also a sweet Thai chili dip that‘s fantastic 3w

#17 Court of Wings & Ruin Ch 30 - 43 #doublespin
#18 Court of Wings & Ruin Ch 44 - 54

Hybern attacks Summer Court only the Night Court helps. All high lords come to the meeting even Tamlin who only insults Feyre.🙄 Antitode to counter Faebane is made but heavily questioned. Pieces of what is going on with Elain start to get put together. Some BIG things happen, the battle will begin. More in comments.

CloakNQuill Amren explains how she escaped the prison, that the Bone Carver needs a body in order to be set free. The Cauldron has broken the wall. Elain & her fiancé end their engagement, tbh good riddance. Jurian reveals that he has been spying on Hybern the entire time & Tamlin again shows himself to be a traitor. Vassa is alive and hidden as a prisoner. The hunt for Miryam and Drakon continues. 3w

#16 - Court of Wings & Ruin Ch 21 - 29

Feyre visits the Bone Carver to negotiate, wants the Mirror of Ouroboros in exchange. Mostly about gathering allies from each court for the upcoming war. I‘m in the middle section where a lot of what happens atm will be used/discussed during the major climax if the trend continues from the past two books. Elains state is about the same & Nesta‘s training has begun.

Feyra‘s back at the Spring Court pretending to love Tamlin, while gathering information on Hybern‘s plans. She has to return to the Night Court at some point, but how? Will she escape before the war?
This 1 was also a great read. I enjoyed getting to know more about the secondary characters. I also liked how some other characters came into the war against Hybern. I definitely liked the ending, despite the sad parts that came with it.

This is one heck of a series. Leading up to anticipated events, thowing curveballs left, right and center, SJM draws such an imaginative world that you feel every colour, texture and emotion. A rollercoaster of pages flying by! Just when you can't see any hope, the devastation is too much, she makes your eyes leak just a little bit more!

Book 3 is all over the place - in a good way! It picks up soon after the end of #2.

My complaint is the timeline is too fast. Books 2&3 take less than a year. In that time she gets combat skills, figures out high level magic, masters political maneuvering, and handles the trauma thrown at her. Too much too fast, yet it's all a ton of fun. I love the characters, the maneuvering, the world building. Just suspend a little disbelief on timelines. 🙂

I think this was my favorite of the series yet! The characters and their intertwining relationships are so compelling, sharp, and full of emotion. I‘m not usual a fantasy reader, but these are so well written, they keep me coming back for more. Are they a little predictable? Sure. But I love them all the same! And this is my 200th book of 2022 and a 699 pg one at that! And gave me my 6th #BookspinBingo @Thea

What do we do for love? Reading books we don't like for example.

These kind of books just aren't my kind of jam. So I just read this book because Wifey gave it to me. TBH, after a few hundert pages I actually thought it wasn't as bad as expected, and that I could read the following books as well.

But then it all got so ridiculous. I wasn't sure if I should laugh at this Hunger Games mock-off or simply cry. No offense to those who like it!

Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks Awww 🥰 I‘m mailing you a letter tomorrow! Fingers crossed that it gets there!! 🤞🤞 5mo

I have been reading this for two months and while I enjoyed the first two in this series, l am going to tap out. I like the relationships developed in the prior novels, but everything in this one is very big and very anticlimactic. I read a summary and I guess this isn‘t my thing even though I really wanted it to be. #bookjournal (How do you guys deal with DNF shame? Because I am feeling it right now.)

Bookgoil I don‘t often dnf but I wish I did now on the last two in that series that came out. I didn‘t mind that one it gets exciting at the end like all Maas books but I‘ve fully given up on the author as each book I read gets worse to me so I think it‘s time to move on. I sometimes retry a dnf later if I think it‘s a mood thing. One I felt the exact same way and another I loved so much just depends. 8mo
wisherwishinguponastar @Bookgoil I am just glad to know that I am not the only person. I think Maas does relationships really well, but that all got put to the side for the gigantic conflict. That part of her story was just kind of dry and a little wishy washy. 8mo
Bookgoil @booksellerofyourdiscontent I think her writing is getting worse over time not better 🤣 and she‘s trying to add a lot more “smut” in these later books now. (edited) 8mo
