I couldn‘t help myself. My disappointment with #BOTM the past several months has led me to join #aardvarkbookclub and I‘m thrilled.
My most anticipated book for this month was on there plus at least 6 more that I wanted. Combine that with a $4 code for your first book and they got me. 🤞
😻 #aardvark
Has anyone else switched? What are your thoughts?

JamieArc I haven‘t totally switched. But I‘ve become pretty blase about BOTM and it seems that between the two subscriptions, there is something to be excited about. 7mo
DestinyMorna I‘m still loving BOTM and am excited for the new Ali hazelwood book, Not in Love. Can‘t wait for my box! (edited) 7mo
AardvarkBookClub Huge welcome from the whole team!! 🫶 Thank you so much for supporting a small bookish business! 7mo
MaleficentBookDragon @AardvarkBookClub thank you! I am VERY excited about your selections and I‘m going to have a hard time waiting for my first box to arrive.😻 7mo
MaleficentBookDragon @DestinyMorna I get it. I do think #BOTM is great for romances. I think that is why my friend @CaringLoudly joined. Her two favorite genres are romance and literacy fiction (though I guess this is a category not genre) so she usually finds more appealing options than I have of late. I‘d love to do Jenny Lawson‘s #strangelingsbookclub but is it out of my price range right now. (edited) 7mo

I think this is one of the best books I‘ve ever read.
It‘s a memoir about the author‘s time working in a rare bookstore in London and it is both hilarious and touching and the most beautiful love letter to antique books and those who love them.

I can‘t get over how beautiful this book is! Or how much it sounds like dark academia/fantasy and not the memoir it is. Cannot wait to start!

Another small community trying to keep the world at bay — I apparently have a thing for that at the moment — but this time with a supernatural bent. And some bloody bits.

There‘s also this “niceness” factor that Little Fires plays with. And a bit of crazy woman in the attic. I flew through it! Got thoroughly grossed out at parts though; I‘m a total wimp when it comes to gore!

This is a dark, twisty little book. I read it for Jenny Lawson‘s book club. Most of the novels she picks are in this vein. It‘s intriguing and I actually remember the “a ha!” moment when it all snapped into place. #strangelingsbookclub

This was a fun romp into the life of someone who might be more of a mess than I am. Funny and self-deprecating. Gross and real. #lgtbq #strangelingsbookclub

StellarDoc I love Samanthe Irby! Pick up her other books if you haven't read them! 5y
