I recently found a treasure trove of free books online (will add link in comments) and I have spent the last few days downloading every Sweet Valley book they had. I decided to read through the SV Kids series along with my SVT read-through and SV Senior Year. Yes, I am a nerd but I‘ve never read this series and I love the feeling of nostalgia I get when I read any Sweet Valley book. 🤓 I fully credit Sweet Valley books for my love of reading. ⬇️

Thanks, @Kar2b for my first birthday card! As a gift to myself, I‘ve decided to dive into nostalgia and re-read the entire Sweet Valley series! The last time I decided to do this, I fell off at 31 in the SVK series, so hopefully this time I make it through more— especially since I‘ve been collecting the ones that I didn‘t have so I am in for some new reads too! This seventh birthday is fun—& the chocolate cake with marshmallow icing sounds yummy!

JenlovesJT47 I just finally finished my read through of the entire SVH series last year and now I‘m on to SVH Senior Year. I‘ve only read a couple of the SVK books when I was younger but I might give them a whirl. Have you read any of the new SVT graphic novels? I am really enjoying them so far. ❤️ 1y

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 I‘m still missing #45 of the senior year series— hopefully by the time I get there, I‘ll have tracked it down! I have been collecting the new graphic novels but haven‘t read them yet…. I will probably read them after reading the regular SVT books! I‘m glad to hear good things about them! I was a little nervous considering how awful the Sweet Valley Confidential book was! 1y

JenlovesJT47 I own the SVHSY series up to book 35 plus the last one, 48, so I‘ll have to track the rest of them down also once I get to that point. I‘ll keep an eye out for both of us! The graphic novels are good. I really enjoy the artwork and they do a good job of modernizing it without drastically changing the storyline or characters. Yeah, SV Confidential was SO bad but I love the Sweet Life series that takes place after it. Not Pulitzer material for ⬇️ 1y

TorieStorieS @JenlovesJT47 And I know!! I can‘t bring myself to pay $45 for a book that originally cost like $3!! The real craziest prices are for the last books of The Unicorn Club series! I think the last one is going for $160!! I‘m missing 20-23! I will keep an eye out for the end of the SVHSY series for you, too! I have gotten lucky at the used bookstore by my mom‘s house and occasionally at our local Half Price Books! 1y

JenlovesJT47 Wow that‘s crazy. I have most of the Unicorn Club books, can‘t remember off the top of my head which ones I‘m missing, but I‘ll keep an eye out! There are a couple of used bookstores close by and I might hit them up this weekend. 1y
