Fairly entertaining read about how humans deal with human-wildlife conflict.
Listened to this in audio.

Fuzz is yet another entertaining book by Mary Roach. This one explores how humans react when nature and civilization collide. As you can probably guess, things typically don‘t go well for the animals. Among the parts I most enjoyed was the inclusion of the book‘s footnotes, which is rare for an audiobook. This was fun even if I don‘t love it as much as her earliest works, Stiff and Spook.

#5JoysFriday @DebinHawaii it's been a very busy week with one more Christmas market to do tomorrow and baking for it. But I do look for joys just for this challenge.
1. #WinterGames24 with co-host @StayCurious
2. Sold a candle set I made
3. My dog treats are selling well at the markets
4. I bought a bird feeder
5. Oakley took my side of the bed where she looked so cute I couldn't move her
My last book for the month. Will I finish it or will I carry it over? It‘s an #auldlangspine choice.
This was my #FoodAndLit pick for #Botswana
It was interesting to read about Mark and Delia‘s experiences living in the Kalahari desert and the relationships they made with the animals living there.
Even as a reader you become invested in the livelihood of the animals.
This is such an important read! For someone who doesn't know enough about conservation, it is a tough read, in that I had to keep going back over parts to understand what I was reading . .. but it is worth it. The illustrated edition is so beautiful and Angela Harding's prints are gorgeous 🥰 it is really good to share with children.
I liked this but found parts of it over the top. I liked the descriptions of the wilderness & the methods Alex used to study wolverines. I didn't like the absolutely bananapants criminal activity that she stumbled across, spoilers below, a& I found Alexis annoyingly preachy. Even when I agree with the message, which I do in this case-
