Bookwomble I think the early church's view that anything pre-Christian was worthless, satanic or both has a lot to do with present-day misapprehensions that other societies were/are brutish and unsophisticated. 6y

GingerAntics @Bookwomble I‘ll definitely agree with that. I suppose they were doing what any other religion would do. “Look we‘re the real deal. They‘re all cheap rip offs or evil in some way.” This is just one of the consequences since it ended up taking over the world. 6y
