The NYT called Tamasin Day-Lewis "the Stevie Nicks of cooking," so you know I downloaded all her books ~immediately~
Obviously I am always excited about Bridget Jones--but I think our UK audiobook narrator sounds a bit too old for the title.
"Every book I have written is the book I want to write next." --Val McDermid is a great, hilarious superhero
Totally enthralling. Just like the reader-within-the-book I have no idea what's going to happen and can't put it down. Tom Ford apparently has great taste in books.
If you've read Bot Working, you'll get what a nice touch the wasabi peas are in this display.
Definitely not getting the hype.
Scrolling though through my reading apps to find that *great* book I started on the train on Friday. Of course it's MR Carey's new one. Of course it's perfect for a lazy pub afternoon.
Pure joy from start to finish. My whole office is obsessed with this one.

"I promise the postcard should make sense once you're read the book." I'm...intrigued?

New DeLillo!
Such an enjoyable read. This book tells the story of a relationship from three different timelines: one where the couple marries, one where they split, and one where they never meet. The plot lives up to the challenging story structure.
"The Bloody Chamber is often wrongly described as fairy tales given a feminist subversive twist. In fact these are new stories, not retellings." --Helen Simpson
Excellent so far--gorgeous writing, unexpected plot lines, pleasantly complicated structure.
