Someone got a few books for Christmas!

I may be in the minority here, but I actually liked this one better than Kaling's first book. It's basically a lesson on how one successful woman does it - the sacrifices and tradeoffs, and the rewards and satisfaction of doing what you love as your job. This was the perfect book to relax with over a glass of your favorite beverage!

This book is both fun and smart. If you love people who are very good at their jobs, you'll love this story. Alexa and Drew are both very functional and generally happy people, which I really love - their relationship doesn't fill some gaping need, it just complements their lives. And did I mention it's super fun and sexy?

What a great book to come home to! Can't wait to read this to the little guy. We love STEM books! @DoubledayBooks

This book is funny and irreverent, but what stayed with me the most is how finding what made her happy (comedy) helped lessen the pain of incredible trauma. And hoo boy, has she been through a lot.

This book is a master class in allegory and allusion. I'm sure I missed so much, but I found it charming and thought-provoking anyway.

I do not fully understand these stories, but they tear at my heart nonetheless.

I love this book! It's such a good way to explain bipolar behavior, or even just that sometimes parents need to be silly or weird or whatever it is they need.

We found a gem in our local Little Free Library tonight! A cute book about exploring the ocean - one of my very favorite activities. The little guy loved it.

Perfect fun read for this weekend!

This book was fun, and I loved the creative format! It actually had a more cohesive story than I expected; I found myself really getting invested in certain characters, rather than just enjoying the humor. Also, it was pretty much the perfect lead-up to the Royal Wedding 😂

This is exactly how I felt!

This is really not an accurate representation of a caterpillar's diet.

This was my favorite book when I was 10 or so. Recently I had a strong hankering to revisit it. I never reread books, but this one was a pleasure to see again. It's a reminder of the joys that can come from the greatest sorrows. It is very much a Christian romance, and the God stuff didn't do a lot for me (not to mention the casual racism). But I still found enjoyment in it.

Another solid mystery from Tana French! I enjoyed getting to know Antoinette Conway, and this case is intriguing. As usual with the Dublin Murder Squad books, I saved this for when I needed an immersive read, and I was not disappointed - I sped through it.

I loved nearly every essay in this book! It's a truly thought-provoking exploration of the relationship between art and business. Highly recommend!

A fast, relatively entertaining read. I did not like the epilogue at all!

This memoir-in-verse is beautifully nostalgic and inspiring - great for all ages, and a very fast read!

I picked up this book at Duende District, pop-up bookstore focusing on writers of color. I can't wait to read it!

The narrator is at times hopelessly materialistic and neurotic, but as you dive deeper into her life, you begin to uncover a charming, even thoughtful girl who had suppressed deep trauma. As she herself begins digging into these memories, the story twists in unexpected ways. A dark, sometimes difficult, but always compelling read.

I'm still so overwhelmed by the book love my baby received. (There's one for me in there, too- can you spot it? 😂)
