So many books, so little time...

Pickpick

YA book with a transgender protagonist for the #readharder challenger - some parts are simplistic and repetitive (definitely making it feel more YA) but overall uplifting and lingers with you in the way that good books do.

Mehso-so

Hit or miss collection - they're all well-written pieces but this group seemed to have a lot of stories in the "um, what was *that* about?" category.

Reading this book for the #bookriot #readharder challenge #foodmemoir. I'm taking in a couple pages after finishing my morning run and getting hungry.

Fun and funny explanations of (bizarre) questions - mostly in the realm of physical science. Not surprisingly, lots of things get blown up or disintegrated.

Read it on my Kindle and it felt like I was on 16% to 55% for a very long time - a bit slow in the middle but definitely picked up speed at the end. Well written with rich imagery so I stuck it out and glad I did. I'll probably pick up the second eventually.
