My daughter and I fell in love with this series. Its superhero dystopian - but the people with powers are the bad guys and the good guys are a rebel Ganges of normal humans trying to make things just a little better.

I have to admit I liked the beginning, I liked the characters, I like the cool things that were happening, but it just took too long to move through the scenes - with some present stuff and some reminiscing. So I bailed on this one - but I might come back to it!

This is one of my all time favourite books. A fantastic storyline of choices and friendship, of family and love, a mystery, a bit of magic, and a light read.

'You make it hard for me to keep you alive,' Leon mumbles.
'That's not your job; and if you want it to be your job than just let me go - simple.'

I was given a copy from a friend after a long stretch with nothing good to read - and my reading drought was ended! It starts with a fantastic centre of the action scene. Making you love the girl who's in trouble but not a damsel in distress. Then ended the alpha male type who isn't there as 'only' book boyfriend material!

I loved book 1 so much that I fan-girled the author and got my hands on book two in advance!

I loved these characters and this rich world. So alive, quick pace and a fantastic ending. I especially loved the chick with a big appetite and the Gang of Four alpha males!
