Let me just say this book will not be for everyone BUT I liked it. Sue is a professor of anatomy & forensic anthropology. This book is her memoir but everything comes back to death and dying. She is quite factual/textbook at times but not in a grotesque way and there are lots of great quotes amongst her philosophical musings. She is most passionate when talking about living life vs delaying death

If you are picking this up because like me The Hannibal Lector Trilogy is an all time favourite, prepare to be disappointed. I found this quite boring, and although there was action throughout it is quite slow. I even changed to audiobook thinking it would help but I literally feel asleep... Twice.

Firstly, I absolutely adore The Woody Creek Series BUT when the sixth and final book was written years ago the story ended, I wasn't 100% happy with the ending but all good things come to an end. The author has now released what she is saying is the final book. Don't get me wrong I like the book because I love the characters but I feel this was an additional extra which only served to give every character their own conclusion.

Dr Kay is back with some very naughty Christmas themed stories, apparently people save up their really stupid things to do list just for Christmas. It is comedy gold once again, anyone working in the hospital system will appreciate it more than the average person.

I originally picked this up as I liked the cover, and WOW was I pleasantly surprised. This is a love story spanning 60 years starting in Tehran in the middle of political unrest in 1953.

Real life Doctor Sonia Henry has written a novel about of group a friends navigating their way through their Medical Internship year in Sydney. Obviously assuming content is based of real events. My issue with this book is not the story (I work in a hospital and most things are 100% accurate) the writing and the characters all come across as one dimensional. As a writer she makes a good doctor.

The EpIc conclusion to the Nevernight Trilogy. Just WOW. Its a little bit GOT, a dash of HP, a pinch of GLADIATOR with a kick ass female lead character and the most beautiful boy in the world that loves her until death.

Basically this is written as the oral history of the fictional band "Daisy Jones & The Six" told from multiple points of view including band members, family members, journalists, tour managers etc etc. It was written really well and reads like a continuous narrative so you don't really notice the POV changes unless the retellings clashed. Loved It.

I have read books from her other series 'Grant County' so thought I'd give this a go. I really like the writing style and you can't help but like lovable dyslexic, dysfunctional special agent Will Trent.

No this is not 50 Shades and no her writing has not improved. In short the Lord of the Manor who sticks his c##k in anything falls in love with his illegal immigrant virgin Albanian cleaner. I have read similar tropes written by other authors that did it much better. I gave it two stars as it wasn't complete rubbish and helped me switch my brain off when I couldn't sleep as you don't have to think when you read this.

I am extremely disappointed with book two in this series. The magic of book one just isn't present in this one. Honestly I was that bored and the characters I loved in the last book I just couldn't care about this time around. Found it every hard to finish but I made myself as I needed to know what happens but I did end up just skim reading the last half of the book. #itsanofromme

First book I have read from this author. I quite enjoyed it! Forced to leave her wealthy upper class lifestyle behind Charlotte moves towns and works as a tattoo studio receptionist and barmaid... Enter stage left Wealthy, veteran Simon and BANG sparks fly - is more complicated than that but you'll just have to read it.

I am a huge fan of the Montgomery Ink Series but I felt this spin off fell short. Plot formula is exactly the same but the Collins Family lacked the camaraderie and witty banter of the main series. I was looking for something new and got recycled. No need to read the other two books in this series

DNF #1 Read this they said, its a high fantasy masterpiece...Really?? Its taken me five weeks to get to chapter 12 and this would be the most boring thing I have read in years. There is nothing endearing about any of the characters and it is so underwhelming it can't hold my interest. I really don't understand the hype. SERIOUSLY THOUGH...DOES IT GET BETTER??
