Before he left, he wrapped my heart in layers of briars and barbed wire to make sure that no one else could ever get in, but you were more than willing to bloody your hands for me.

It‘s a very short ‘poem‘, can be read within an hour. I liked it but some can‘t stop arguing about whether or not it can be called a poem because of its ‘tumblresque‘ style. I think anything that touches you with words is poetry.

Disappointed. I expected far more from reading the synopsis. The premise was excellent but the final third of the book was a mess and quite loose.
