Well executed story with an interesting plot. I really enjoyed the ending, and the twists weren‘t always predictable. I did struggle to engage in the earlier part of the book, but always found it interesting (contradictory, I know!) - I think that‘s because I felt rather apathetic about the protagonist. Overall though it‘s enjoyable and definitely worth a read!

Just finished this book whilst on holiday. It is sweet and insightful. There is an undertone of psychological distress, that never really truly develops into anything specific, but is always there keeping things beautifully tense. The twists and turns reflected a modern relationship, in a unique and relaxed way.

My only gripe is the lack of speech marks!!

A unique perspective that was interesting and refreshing. The plot could have been better, and the ending did seem to ‘just happen‘ but all in all good read, which is easy and quick.

A brilliant conclusion to the trilogy. A magical, relatable and interesting fairytale. I am sad that there are no more.

I haven‘t read a crime/mystery book for a while because I tired of the predictable endings. Don‘t Wake Up was an interesting read, which has reignited my interest in the genre. An easy to read, interesting and sometimes tense story, with a likeable protagonist.

I fell in love with the wintery world that Katherine Arden created in the first book in the trilogy. The Girl in the Tower is a fabulous follow up, with more depth and magic. Vasya has grown into a complex character with rough edges and a huge heart. Every bit the modern day heroine. I cannot wait to read the final book.

I had such a lovely time reading this book. It is an interesting, quirky story told in a lovely eloquent voice. I was truly saddened to have finished the book and drove to the shops to buy the next two books the same day - I just couldn‘t wait to jump back into this magical world! one of the best I‘ve read in a long time!
