This one features a slow building story, and it took me a lot longer to get through than I thought it would. It wasn't until the last 10% or so that I became engrossed in the story and then it kind of leaves off on a cliffhanger. I think that now all the world building and studying is out of the way, the next installment should move much faster and I am interested in seeing how the story progresses.

Didn't realize going in that this story had a religious base. There were things that surprised me and things that disappointed me. The ending had enough finality to it that I don't feel the need to continue with the series at this time.

This was a pretty fast read though somewhat predictable. If you're interested in this one, it's best to go in blind. Grace was a bit too naïve for me at times & I did actually laugh out loud at some of her actions that weren't well thought through. Since one of the blurbs on the back of the book references Gone Girl, I'll tell you that I enjoyed this book a lot more than that. Look forward to more from this author.

Loved this book! These characters and the situations they dealt with felt so real. We also get not only Holly's perspective, but there are flashbacks from Gerry's perspective which just rounded out this story for me. Definitely recommend!

I had more thoughts than usual on this book. Lots of them have to do with the derogatory comments and name calling used in regards to the Chinese side characters. There were only two parts of the story that included situations like this, but it did impact my reading experience greatly.

Overall this book did have some things I enjoyed, but the things that bothered me stayed in the back of my mind the entire time.

I decided to pick up this book because it was Barnes & Noble's Serial Read offering for the month. I had no idea this was the 4th book in a series! That being said, I did not have any trouble, nor did it dawn on me that I was reading from the middle of a series. Please note that this book does touch on the subjects of rape & mental illness. The story drew me right in & kept me thinking about it even when I wasn't reading. Really enjoyed this one!

This has always been my favorite installment in this series, and it's the one that I've read the most. The movie of this book is the one that disappointed me the most, because there are so many interesting things that happen in this one that were left out! I'm not a very emotional reader, but this one never fails to bring a tear to my eye in two chapters of this story. I'm so glad that I finally revisited this one.

This was a re-read for me and I have to say that I enjoyed this more than I did the first time around. I didn't remember a lot of what happened, so it was almost like a new read for me. I really enjoyed the relationship between Lucy and her husband. I also found the chapter headers interesting as they tied in to Lucy's day job.

This ebook included samples to a couple of the other books in this series.

This novella had me hooked from the beginning. I am curious how this sets up Winterspell, which I will be reading next. If the storytelling is anything like this novella though, I know I'm going to love that too.

I have always enjoyed things about Titanic, whether it be documentaries, TV shows/movies, or fictional stories though I haven't read too many. This was just the right amount of mystery interwoven with the feel of what it was like to be a passenger on this ship. This book does take a while to get to the mystery aspect of the story, but I didn't mind that. The Epilogue and Author's Notes at the end were very interesting and enlightening.

This was an enjoyable read but a bit slower in pace for me. I did figure out a few things pretty early on & some of the attempts to deflect suspicion to another character was just ridiculous to me. I did appreciate that there was no sign of a love triangle for the majority of the book, but there is a definite possibility for one in the series, I think.

Read as part of #Book1CoziesClub. Of all the Cozies I've read recently, this one took me the longest, I think. I abandoned the audiobook since Goldy sounded really whiny when I listened to her. Goldy still got on my nerves in physical form as I felt she was really pushy & more nosy than any other amateur sleuth I've encountered. I also didn't agree with her parenting choices or the way she handled situations with her ex-husband.

Such a great read! I don't think that my tolerance for creepy things is very high, but this had me jump a few times. Though I was sufficiently scared at certain parts of this book, especially heading to the end, I could not stop reading! This definitely has a similar feeling to the movie The Haunting, as well as Stephen King's mini-series Rose Red - at least for me. Both of those are favorites of mine, so that just made this even more enjoyable.

Fun read for a fan of the show

Really enjoyed this second installment in the series. Sabrina was a bit whiny so I'm glad I opted to read this one instead of listen to it on audiobook. This one does end on a cliffhanger, so have the next one handy if you dislike those.

The story was a bit confusing and hasn't pulled me in yet. I think I'll continue to the second volume before I decide to stick with it or just watch the anime instead.
