Day 18 of #novinbooks17: A Book Set in Your Country

As an American I feel like most books are set here. I chose this one because its about visitors to the country (even if its not a major point), plus its the first LGBT+ book I've read. A very light and enjoyable read, plus it open me up to a new type of book.

I chose book this as my pick for the Shadow prompt for the #TuneInToNovember hosted by @robothugs and @cinfhen. The reason is 3 fold: the shadow filled cover, the shadow in Alice's life, and the shadiness of it being an (falsely claimed) "Anonomous" book.

That moment when someone tells you something that changes your life, shatters your innocence and/ or naivety, opens your eyes to the cruelty that exists in the world.

Number The Stars has always been one of my favorite books. I think that it holds a lot of lessons to be learned by young and old alike.

1. Being asked if I need help while I'm shopping.
2. Italy was amazing. So was Yosemite State Park.
3. American Gods by Neil Gaiman (635 pages)
4. Never been a holiday book reader. I did enjoy the Dash and Lily Books.
5. Who is your favorite book character?

Mine would probably be Auri from the KingKiller books or Art3mis from Ready Player One.
