We finished our December pick on New Year's Eve and it joins the list of my top five bedtime books. Toby, Ivy, and Percival kept us guessing until the end.

Finished up one of my childhood favorites with J at bedtime tonight. Still gave me nightmares, but he loved it.

Currently enjoying the latest offering in the Warlock Holmes series. The plot never goes where you would expect. And the characters refuse to behave.

Election day means another day reading on a blanket. This time I'm taking a little Great Old Ones with my coffee.

With our recent break in the weather, I'm willing to believe spring has finally come to the mountain state. I got to spend a lovely Sunday reading on a blanket to finish up High Lonesome Sound. It was terrifying and beautiful and left me wanting more. Definitely read this one in a well lit room. My childhood fear of looking through windows after dark has been rekindled with a vengeance.

This has been my work bag book for a few months now, but I finally finished it today. Another enjoyable trip to Discworld.

This started as a bedtime book for my son, but rapidly became a bit too creepy for him. I enjoyed finishing it on my own.

I failed in my search to find a book for the equinox (the series we used for the other seasons hasn't published autumn yet), but I'm so excited to have found this to add to our bedtime reading. ⚗️🔭🔬

Completely irreverent and yet hilarious, Warlock Holmes is one of my favorite additions to the Holmes universe. Definitely not for a staunch traditionalist, the role reversal that turns Holmes into a bumbling creature makes for fantastic light reading.

The most recent installment of the Iron Druid Chronicles does not disappoint. I very much enjoyed the storyline, and the set up for future adventures left me ready for more. Bonus points for so much Oberon.

The newest title in our bedtime reading. As a child, I loved the Boxcar Children for all the adventure. Now, as a parent, I have concerns about the lack of supervision. 😜#BKLovesLitsy
