I'm up to ch 5. The first 3 chapters are a bit of a slog but it seems to be improving.

Most of these were good.
Tagged was funny and fun. Will read more in the series.
1 was ok
2 interesting worth reading
3 loved it! Disliked the Netflix series.
4 ok. Part of a series, helps the story along.
5 I‘m done with this series. 👎🏼
6 this was interesting. Worth it.
7 LOVED this. Need book 2 now lol
8 Larson is good.
9 another in the series. Not bad.
Feel like I read more but can‘t remember lol 😆
I had a $30 B&an gift card from work (we get Kudo points to buy gift cards, I guess it‘s supposed to make us feel better about our crappy pay and useless raises).
Thankfully there were sales!
I bought the tagged book because I wanted to laugh out loud reading the back synopsis.
Of course I‘m going to get the John Lewis book.
I‘m weirdly into food history after watching the History Channel series ‘The Foods the Built America‘

Okay, but the GOAT tho😂 This book is like reading a Mel Brooks movie, all spoof. Similarly, I found the conceit wore thin at times, but overall the story hung together well and the characters were so appealingly likeable that I‘ll give it a pick. Extra points for the cutting insights on politics in the last quarter there.
Is there such a thing as being too tired to read? I‘m looking at this book — which is, BTW, an absolute riot — and I just can‘t even summon the strength to pick it up. Blah. I hope this doesn‘t last…
As a remedy for the last tragedy-steeped book, I pick up this delightful looking one, passed on by a friend. Hoping for a cheery outlook!
My library has almost all of my #NewYearWhoDis books recommended by @Laughterhp so I made a special tag to group them together for January reading. So excited to dive into these! @monalyisha
Comic Fantasy isn't usually my genre of choice, so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Yes I could have done with much less poo and fart jokes, but I found the characters engaging, and the puns and wordplay kept me chuckling. I'd be willing to visit Pell again in the future.

Many moons ago in a principality far, far away, a hirsute lady slept in a tower that was covered in thorns.
#FirstLineFridays @ShyBookOwl
I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.
Day 30

This was a great break from heavy worldbuilding that gave me a few laughs but I will admit you can only have so many poop jokes before they are just not funny anymore (not that they were funny to begin with). The character building was great though. I loved Poltro and I will fight all the chickens in the world for that girl.
Here is my entry for #Booked2020 - Spring
I didn‘t finish all 6 prompts for Spring, but I did finish more than 6 prompts. So I pulled one I‘ve already finished for Summer.
Made Me LOL - War and Peas
Parent Child Memoir - Motherhood So White
Tartan Noir - The Blackhouse
Pan Asian Author - A Different Pond
Animal on the Cover - Kill the Farm Boy
Red, White or Blue Type of Cover - The Boyfriend Project
SAT words! Puns! Sexual innuendos!
A Farm Boy. A Dark Lord with a potbelly, tramp stamp, & bread making magic. A bumbling rogue. A talking goat. A human/rabbit hybrid bard. A 7-foot-tall lady-warrior in a chainmail bikini. A Sand Witch. One of them is the Chosen One.
It started out really fun but it got to be a bit much with all the jokes, aimless plot, & little character development. After much deliberation I'm giving this ⭐⭐⭐. ⬇️
Yay for another #bookmap 🤗
I finally finished my first book for the #readyoursign challenge. This book covers prompt #9: Read a book with a character that is adventurous, creative, or strong-willed. Since this covers a bit of an ensemble cast, all three traits were found in at least one of the characters with whom we are traveling. Official review to come.

This is my prospective #sagittarius #TBR for #readyoursign but I might swap out another light blue book if the mood hits. @Clwojick @Meaw_catlady
I committed to 5 books but I should be able to read more. These cover at least a few prompts:
Adventurous, creative, or strong-willed character
Topaz (color on cover)
Light Blue (color on cover)
Read between 5-10am
Fire (element in title)
Birth year & Sagittarius author
1. Probably Chuck Palahniuk, though Stephen King and Neil Gaiman are up there.
2. A flight of beer, a nice dinner, and a concert or play.
3. Never thought of it before. I guess a distinct settings I remember most would be in medieval times, or similar fantasy lands.

I don‘t DNF but I‘m skimming most the the last 75% 🥺 it just won‘t end and doesn‘t hold my attention. I had high hopes too, the beginning was funny and who doesn‘t love a talking 🐐 but it reminds me of Family Guy when a joke starts out funny and they let it go on wayyy too long and your like “really...?” Time to move on...
There were parts that were amusing and parts that fell a little flat for me. Overall not a bad story, but I don‘t think I will check out the sequel. Still, it did make me laugh at times so I am using it for my #Booked2020 #Spring #MakesYouLoL category!
#BookReport - Finished 2 books this week. But made a lot of progress with my current reads.
I‘m about 5 hours into Eight Perfect Murders
I‘ve read about 220 pages of the Last Time I Lied
#WeeklyForecast - I have to start Know My Name for a book club. I am going to read it in sections and break up my reading with these other books.
This book was so much fun. It‘s a fantasy adventure full of laughs, crazy characters and puns. A talking goat, a woman turned into a bunny, a very tall woman in a chain mail bikini, a rogue who can‘t rogue, and dark wizards. It‘s making fun of all the white man tropes in fantasy books.
Book 2 finished for #EasterExtravaganga
Easter Egg Hunt - A on Cover
#Booked2020 - Animals on Cover
This is how I exercised today. We just got an exercise bike. It was great and I expect a lot more like this in my future 😂

Happy Saturday! Enjoying some outside time these evening with a new book.
Well, new in that I bought it last April and am picking it up now. The one “good” thing about libraries being closed is I‘m reading a lot of my owned books.
This is the #triplespin book pick I believe.
@nelehelen thanks for the extra goodies! @cwarnier I promise to go to the post office Saturday or Monday!
I decided to participate in #BookSpin for the first time in April. My list is all books I own.
Have you noticed the theme? It‘s all fantasy, mystery and sci-fi. My comfort reads. 🥰
This will also help with #TheUnreadShelfProject
The idea of this book was intriguing and the humor made me chuckle. But the big problem was too much content thrown in too quickly. I wish we had lingered with characters or situations instead of running through multiple places so quickly I couldn‘t connect with any of them in particular.
Would recommend as a library read, not a full purchase price.
This line feels a little too applicable during this time.
The thing I love about this is the idea of a group of dungeon party members filing paper work to join an union 🤣. Imagine the party sitting around the dining room table and they‘re arguing about the name of their organization
I think we all know an annoying person who meets this description.
Well ... historically that‘s not necessarily true for everyone but that‘s just the historian in my twitching. Otherwise, nice quote from the book.
This made me pause and reread the book before laughing to make sure I read it right.
Liked this quote a lot. It fits with the quest theme of the book.
Lols. True, but then the rude person will get offended much faster. So I feel like it‘s a catch 22.
Got to make sure our goals are reasonable and reachable. Lessons with Dark Lord Toby
Thought this was perfect for a Monday. One day through the work week and it already feels like a lot. Here‘s a wish that everyone‘s week is nice and enjoyable with little to zero drudgery 😋
Sometimes the level of ridiculousness in this book takes a second to overcome before pushing through to read more.
Those darn public warning announcements against roses. We really got to get better about that 😋
Goals. To have eaten enough to actually be able to tell the difference between minimum effort in cooking and gourmet. I mean a pinch of salt and a dash of Tabasco can carry me a long way.
Made me think of the moment in Lord of the Rings where Sam stops and recognizes how he‘s stepping further then he‘s ever gone before.
Started reading my new book, Kill the Farm Boy. So far ... it‘s interesting
Got the next #lmpbc book in the mail along with some goodies from @Sharpeipup 😃 Thank you so much, Tina! 😘
@BethM yours is in route! Sorry it‘s late. It was in my husband‘s trunk so I completely forgot about it. 😣 Should be there by Tuesday!
Started out cute but got old really fast! Too over the top for me.
@cwarnier it arrived just in time for a rainy day!

I just sent off this book today. It should be to you by Monday. Hope you enjoy it.
