It's been a long time since I have dragged a book around with me to capture free moments to read. This book is STUNNING!

Good story centered around foster families and foster kids. It's very tame reading, almost elementary.

nicolekukral I agree it feels young for YA 8y

Kind of a trippy read. Pace was good, story had twists. Loved the setting although I'm a sucker for east coast beach towns.

I wasn't expecting this to be told through the sisters voice...make for a great story with some funny, yet tough moments.

Fantastic and very real read about a young person transitioning. Story told through the sister which led to some poignant and funny moments.

Incredibly sad, but very well done. I think the author needed to portray what exactly went on with Stalin's takeover to shed some light on the tragic story of those held captive. We have read so much about the Holocaust, and now there is a story with the voice of so many Lithuanians.

Great little read. Very laughable moments. Doesn't quite make me want to give up meat, but I love the story behind this rescue!

Sweet read. His memoir of his boyish "inadequacies " led to many bouts of laughter and "awwwww" moments. He is a FUNNY guy. I'm now stalking him on FB and can't wait to read his next piece!

It's not very often that I carry a book with me to my sons baseball tournaments...but I just can't stand being away from Will and Lou. Should I run out to the local B&N and get the sequel?

nicolekukral I haven't read the sequel yet, but everyone I know who's read it has said it pales in comparison to this book. I still want to read it at some point though! I loved this book so much. Prepare for an ugly cry!! 8y
MrsLiby2004 I wish I would have felt it as much you guys! It was a good story, but I just didn't feel the relationship between them! I am looking forward to the movie to see if it brings it home for me! 8y
