This book is jammed with great lines. Here's one re: women. Love it!
"Somebody has one of the worst hairstyles Britt-Marie has ever laid eyes on, as if she's combed her hair with a terrified animal."
Finishing HITMAN ANDERS during #EarhHour2016
On my iPod...love, love, love Edoardo Ballerini's narration.
First line: "She would never have fit as neatly into the trunk of his own car." -- Not sure I'll ever be game for a home exchange after this book!
Rufus says this is his next read...hope I can snag it back from him soon.
Reading now...so timely!
Tickled to receive the paperback today with my Shelf Awareness interview printed in it!
Outstanding. Layered, humorous, smart, suspenseful and full of colorful characters. Hallinan's writing is sharp! There's no maybe about it, this book rules.
"...a Grueddhist, another of the gruesome L.A. poseurs who claim to follow the Buddha's Way to enlightenment in between bouts of ripping people off."
Amazing. My favorite book of 2014 and I still recommend it constantly to people. So. Freaking. Wonderful!
First sentence: "Bad luck, as my mentor and surrogate father, Herbie Mott, used to say, arrives on the wind."
Such an eye-opening read.
