Quick read and I wanted to finish it to figure out how it ended, but it was just okay.

"...there was a moment-one heartbeat, one breath-where all the differences in schooling and money and skin color evaporated like mirages in a desert. Where everyone was equal, and it was just one woman, helping another."

I liked the backwards storytelling, but it did take a minute to get used to. I was constantly trying to guess what happened. Good summer read.
