Listening to SJM's ACOMAF Spotify playlist while rereading the actual book is such a fitting moment. Also drinking some wine and eating charcuterie but mainly the reading and listening.

Finally finished with this series and omg my heart and my soul. This will go down as one of my favorite series of all time. I wasn't crazy about the first book, but that was just the equivalent of dipping your toes into this world. Book two was probably my favorite. And book three solidified the series as a long-term fave. I'm glad this lived up to the hype. So so so glad.

"...she crumbled and turned to ashes." So far this book is very intriguing. It's definitely typical Japanese literature. No wasted words, no extra descriptions that have no purpose. The atmosphere feels very cold and grey. Ren Ishida is almost as strange as his sister was, so flipfloppy and unsure. It's obvious there's something very wrong here, but what? Everything is very mysterious. I'm six chapters in and pretty hooked so far.

Picked up Obsidio today at Target on sale. So I can finally read this trilogy everyone raves about. Whoo! #Illuminae #Gemina #Obsidio

I am so excited for this one! The first book was a slow start for me but I was hooked by the end. This one has me hooked from the beginning though so far.
