This is the best true crime book I‘ve ever read. I‘d compare it to Capote‘s In Cold Blood, but that one‘s rife with creative license. Knowing the Golden State Killer‘s been caught doesn‘t lessen the tension in the pages.

"Don't be afraid of me."
Bland read. I was hoping the narrator would turn out to be the evil genius behind the whole thing. It's been compared to Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train, but I don't think it's a fair comparison.
It was engrossing, and it made me angry. I really want to know how everyone Desmond profiled is doing now.
