Oh my God. This book is not only well researched but it also so so well written. Yes, the material is heavy and there were parts that even I had trouble with (as someone who has read a lot of Shoah material), but man it reads like a beautiful novel.

Please please if you get a chance to read this, do it.

Always: A Novel | Sarah Jio

You'd think I'd expect it by now but no, Sarah Koo rocked it once again. What a fantastic boom! While not my favorite (That will always be The Bungalow), this ranks a very close second! Damn, I cannot say enough good things. My one tiny annoyance was how Kaylie treated Ryan. But very very minor. Overall excellent book!

Bostonmomx2 I discovered this author in 2016 and devoured all her books and anxiously await each new release. She‘s fantastic!! 6y

I really enjoyed Jaycee's first book but oh man... this book was not good! She needed a better editor, badly... thoughts were sort of catered but she would go into almost random tangents...

I got this book via Goodreads giveaways.

I'm not sure what to make of this book... parts of it were really good but there were huge chunks of years missing and it just seems a little out wack. Also dear writers: if you use foreign word, you MUST translate them! Ug drives me nuts when authors don't translate foreign words.

Was so disappointed! Very clunky and didn't flow plus Jane was really annoying and just could not care for it.

I really don't know what to make of this book. I LOVE the TV show and this book, other than Maggie, are nothing like each other. Which in some ways good because I think had I read this book before watching the show, it would have ruined the show. The book ended up being better at the end but there were a couple of unanswered questions which is super frustrating. Overall, I'd give this book like 3.2 stars.

Soooooo disappointed in this book. I wanted to read it because the movie looked good (and I'm still going to watch it because I'm hoping that they can expand where the book couldn't). But man, this book was BAD. Bad writing, bad flow... lack of plot devices. Did not move and lots of places that could have been left out. Plus I HATE cheaters. Tony deserved so much better

I, of course, knew the story of the Lippazner. While there were some parts of the book I could have done without, I understand why they were in the book. It was very well written and made for an enjoyable read. The only downside that I wish the author would have talked about is how the stud farm at Piber dealt with and fared during and after the war, as that stud farm is probably the most important to the breed.

It's a little slow so far but it's good and sourced

LOVED IT. Not only does it help understand some of the harder lyrics, it helps understand the show. I knew a lot of it but I also learned a lot too!

Really enjoyed this book! Admired her for her acting ability but I relate to her and many of the things she feels

Such a disappointment! Such a well-written premises and hook but the book is a total letdown. There were tons of sections that added nothing to the story and seemed like filler. Not to mention of the guy's own personal case of his friends go missing to not even be solved and have nothing to do with the other case, it was all a big let down.

The narrator was just overall sucky and it made the book even worse.

kricheal My exact thoughts! There was so much potential there! 7y
KatrinaB I'm afraid to read the next book because the premise sounds good too! @kricheal 7y
kricheal It's been a few years since I read it, so I'm sure I'm forgetting some things... wasn't there some sci-fi/horror overtones in it too? Like hearing wings or buzzing in the woods? 7y
KatrinaB @kricheal Rob/Adam thought he heard something like a large animal but I don't think it was scifi 7y

It was okay... it needed a bit more editing in my opinion. it felt like there were chunks missing... and on my it's Reins not reigns when talking about things that guide an animal. That was annoying.

omg... once again Hannah has written a great novel. I know after reading Firefly Lane, I'd be crying after all her books, but this one? More tissues! So well written and the characters... this would be an amazing movie
