Wanted to see what all the fuss was about before they made the movie. Kept me up reading into the wee hours & and then chanting "I knew it,I knew it,I KNEW IT!" Did I? Very creepy, Gone Girl style. But can we get over the "Girl" title books already?!

I love a good retelling of a popular story; to get in close and speculate on what was really going on. Brooks does take realism kind of seriously & there were a few battle scenes that made me queasy.

I read this like I listened to the podcast Serial; obsessively. Did he do it?

Feels like we're being lined up for a sequel. Maybe? Took me some time to get into the interview format, but it worked.
