The Dry | Jane Harper
Mehso-so

Have to admit I picked this up because of all the rave reviews rather than being drawn to the premise or setting. It was solidly constructed and quite good for a debut but I found the majority of it to be slow and emotionally flat. It ended up being more of a procedural mystery than a thriller and I was more in the mood for the latter. The ending was a bit more engaging but overall this one was pretty meh for me.

#riotgrams #fallcolors Books do pumpkin spice! First note of crisp fall weather in the air today. Can't wait to curl up with a hot cup of tea and one of these.
