Lollybooks I have to admit that as much as I love spring, I do wish our winters were a bit longer! We are at 65-70 & rain the rest of this week then back to more normal highs of 45-50. 2w

Every month, I put different books in a basket for my 16 month old granddaughter, Vera. I put in classic books that I‘ve had since my teaching days, board books—anything I think she might like. I‘m going for different textures, different types of illustrations. I didn‘t have any real Valentine books so I went with love, flowers & a late winter theme. It‘s one of my favorite ways to help her parents raise a reader!

Onyx Storm | Rebecca Yarros

Current stack of books! Lord Of The Rings is my slow but steady for the foreseeable future. Onyx Storm is a buddy read & library book so it‘s taking precedence over Head Cases at the moment! The dragons are still very cool!🐉

EadieB I heard that is a great book, Onyx Storm. I just started reading fantasy. I‘m reading Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson right now. I‘m going to have start with the first book

Elizabeth2 @EadieB Brandon Sanderson is one of my bonus daughter‘s favorite authors. She loaned me her copy of Mistborn. That‘s her favorite go to comfort read. It was really good. His world building is excellent. 1mo

Elizabeth2 @Lollybooks my daughter finished Onyx Storm in a day! She downloaded the audio on Libby so she could read and listen at the same time. She loved it. I took a picture of her reaction to something she read and it was its own brand of spoiler. 😂 I‘ll have to share it on here. Waiting for her permission before I post over on IG. 1mo
