The Daughter: A Novel | Jane Shemilt
Panpan

Initially I hoped this would be a good book however after getting mid way through I got slightly bored so decided to give up! However what I did read was good just not fantastic enough to keep me interested. #Thedaughter #janeshemilt

Wow! I loved this psychological thriller. I was able to imagine scenes from the film as I was reading which I thought was great however even without seeing the film this would still have been amazing. #greatread #thriller #thegirlonthetrain

I read A Monster Calls today and it is a beautifully gripping story written in a way that will leave you not wanting the story to end but even when it does it definitely doesn't disappoint. #patrickness #amonstercalls

This was such an enjoyable read and it was great to get an insight into what you let yourself in for when you move to a new country! The beautiful landscapes of Greece are depicted so well and both perspectives of John and Chris are equally as funny, I extremely enjoyed reading this book! #greece #travelbook #johnhumphreys

I read this book so unbelievably quickly as it was ridiculously funny and anyone who has been to university will instantly relate to all the ups and downs of freshers week, which in this book is told through the perspective of Luke and Phoebe. A great laugh out loud read! #laughoutloud #freshers #youngadultfiction

Darkmere | Helen Maslin

This novel was an extremely gripping story which followed the summer of a group of friends with the main focus on the character of Kate in the present day and then also told the story of Elinor, in the 19th century. It centres around a castle and the fatal occurrences which happen within both stories due to a curse. Overall a great and thrilling read and I would recommended it to young adults!

A funny and insightful book! I enjoyed how Jesse Andrews gave each character a detailed and completely different and random personality. Overall an enjoyable read. #meandearlandthedyinggirl

Fangirl: A Novel | Rainbow Rowell

I thoroughly enjoyed Fangirl, each day in anticipation. The story centres around Cath a quiet deep thinker with an inner confidence. We see how the other characters learn about her inner strength and determination; this is a great portrayal of how others can misjudge based upon their initial reservations. An insight into the perils of teenage life and how Cath deals with uni life but eventually blooms into the best person she can be, herself.
