After finding out Netflix are making this into a new series, I decided to revisit this gem from my childhood. I was not disappointed – it's still a brilliant read! #theworstwitch #childrensbooks

Took me a while to get in to this one, but now I'm hooked. Hope the characters continue to draw me in to their world right to the end.

"And everyone's sink
gets all full of dishes,
and everyone's heart
gets all full of wishes.
And everyone's mind
gets all full of mess,
and we all read the signs,
and we all try our best."
Sums up how I'm feeling today perfectly.
Treat from my mum today. Very excited about this! Also, really enjoying the play format! #harrypotter #cursedchild
Spot on, Donna Tartt. "With distaste, Harriet reflected upon how life had beaten down the adults she knew, every single grown up. Something strangled them as they grew older, made them doubt their own powers—laziness? Habit?"
Held off reading this as long as I could because I'm sad about running out of Donna Tartt books. Her writing is sublime ❤️
