I was looking for something lighter than what I had read recently. This series fits the bill perfectly. What could be cooler than a Murderbot that has hacked its own AI so it doesn‘t have to kill? All it really want to do is binge watch “media” aka Netflix. Very entertaining. I‘m all in for this 4 book set of novellas.

Epic. The tag line calls this a novel of the civil war, that doesn‘t do this novel justice. The story follows the Hancock family in northwest Arkansas as the war begins. The 2 older brothers and the father head off to war while mother, sister, and younger brother stay at home. By wars end the farm is gone and no one knows who‘s alive or dead or where they might be. The devastating effects of war and the belief in family drive this story.

Very glad I ran across this gem. Ever had a coincidence? What if missing your train or reaching for this book instead of the one next to it weren‘t random acts at all? Enter the coincidence makers. Seemingly ordinary people orchestrating events. How big are their plans? How do you become a coincidence maker? What happens if a coincidence maker opts out? Do coincidence makers have coincidence makers? What a fun, mind bending read. Highly recommend

One of the best debut novels I‘ve read in the last few years. The writing is pitch perfect. Joan experiences a major betrayal but is it the one from someone she loves or did she betray herself. I have my opinion, now you decide.

One of the best first novels I've read in a long time. Good character development and strong descriptions in a well crafted story.

One of my favorite books of the year. Hart is a master story teller.
