pickAlthough this is listed as YA it is one of my most favorite books on Nazi Germany. It is through death himself that the book is narrated and through who you meet, Liesel, a 9 year old girl you will most assuredly fall in love with. This beautiful work of literary art by Markus Zusak is one of the few books I simply like to keep close by; like a picture of a deceased loved one, the memories it releases are truly bittersweet.
