Beartown the town is all about hockey, but Beartown the novel is about much more than that.

I can‘t say enough about this novel. This novel includes the life of living in a small town, hockey, a life altering event, right and wrong, good vs. evil, finding strength, a thriller of events, and longing for more (good thing there‘s a sequel releasing next month).

I started this book earlier today and I just had to bail. It‘s not the book isn‘t a great book, it‘s just not for me. At least right now. I just couldn‘t get into the storyline. Maybe I‘ll try it again later on in the year, but for now, I‘m moving on to another book.

Taking a break from writing by starting this book while listening to the rain outside. Name a better way to spend a Saturday.

Finished this book during the second half of the super bowl tonight. While the events of 9/11 are tragic and heartbreaking, the real life story behind this book is centered on the life and actions of a hero, a helper, who put others before himself. Welles Crowther lost his life when the South Tower went down, but he was able to save the lives of many others all while wearing his favorite Red Bandanna.
