Red Rising | Pierce Brown
Pickpick

Just finished Red Rising by Pierce Brown. And I have to say, it was so good!!! It definitely took a while to get into but by the second half of the book I couldn't put it down. I feel anybody that loves the genre of sci-fi or fantasy should pick up this novel! It is actually a trilogy also, so I hope the next couple of books are as great as the first one

TrishB They are 👍 7y

Happy Hump Day! Been binge reading The Great Gatsby all day today on and off! How has your summer been so far? Also I just bought 2 books and got 6 books in the mail (all of them were on sale), so maybe a book haul post in the future!

The book featured up here is The Help written by Kathryn Stockett

What can I even say about this book other than it is completely incredible!!! It makes me doubt my own writing skills.

Other than I just started reading "The Great Gatsby" I have huge news! I'm writing a novel! I can't believe this is actually happening. This story has been in my head for AGES, and I never thought I would actually do it. I have written many short stories, but never a full book, and I can't wait to see what is in store!

wellreadredhead I love this cover! 7y

Speak | Laurie Halse Anderson
Pickpick

I just read Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson and oh my gosh it was incredible. You would have to think that the author went through this awful subject too. This novel is so understated in my opinion, it is so honest and authentic, it just feels like you are in Melinda's head with her. And even though most of us haven't gone through this event, I feel that everyone can relate to her in some way. I will encourage everyone to read this book now!

TrishB Just ordered based in your review. My 16 y/o will read this too. 8y
Noelle.Georgia @TrishB I'm so happy! I really hope you and your daughter enjoy it! 8y
Joe101214 I loved this novel. It makes you feel like you are actual living it. Just all around awesome book that I think all teenagers should read. 7y

These books shown here- Mosquitoland by David Arnold, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, We Were Liars by E.Lockhart, and All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven- are just some great YA novels that portray mental health problems in a respectable and more realistic way. I really recommend Mosquitoland especially.
