A Dance with Dragons | George R. R. Martin
Pickpick

This was a book that I was sad to see the end to. Now begins the long journey of patiently waiting for the next as I read other books. Mr. Martin does not disappoint once again bringing about realistic characters that are like-able, hate-able and flawed all the same. He also really has a knack for murdering your favorites. He does not discriminate which makes it all the more real. Everyone has the potential to perish playing the game of thrones

What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the Galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through and still know where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with.

Just reaching chapter 33 after finishing Reeks chapter and it blows my mind to see the once proud/ troublemaker Theon Greyjoy turned into this feeble and afraid thing. He denies even his own name, afraid to even speak of it when Ramsay is not around. He has been shaped and formed through relentless trauma into what he is now. It‘s kind of saddening in a way but he‘s committed atrocities of his own. I love the character development in this book.

Mehso-so

I was disappointed that the end just kinds of stops abruptly. Though I love how engrossing Mr. Martin is his characters are so human and even the ones who are seemingly unlikeable have some redeeming qualities to them. Overall it was a good read. I just with that there was more to the story. The abrupt ending left more to be desired even with the next book readily available.

For years I avoided this book because a friend of mine told me that it was complete and total garbage. While other friends thought it was a good book. I went ahead and got it because it was on sale for 1.99 as an ebook. I guarantee you that if this was not 1.99 I would not have purchased it. This was a total DNF for me a little over 1/2 way through. Poorly written, annoying characters, boring repetitive story. Don‘t bother.

Chelleo I‘ve been avoiding this one myself 😬 Welcome to Litsy! Hope these #Litsytips by @RaimeyGallant http://bit.ly/litsytips and #LitsyHowTo videos: goo.gl/UrCpoU are helpful.
