This book talks about Don Cherry‘s early life and professional hockey career and his struggles after his playing career was over. The book also goes into his coaching career after his playing days were over and then it transitions into his Television broadcasting career. He also goes into depth about his countless interviews with many players of his broadcasting career. I really enjoyed this book and I think you will too if you enjoy hearing some

ReidEnman not so well known stories pertaining to some of the greatest people to ever play the game of hockey. This story is told in First Person Point of View. It is from a First Person Point of View because Don Cherry is describing the events that happened to him during his life. 3y

Pickpick

This book talks about Doug “Killer“ Gilmour's life. It talks about him growing up in Kingston, Ontario and moving away at age 17 to play junior hockey to playing 20 seasons in the NHL and up until his retirement from the league in 2003 along with all his exploits in between. I really enjoyed this book and I think you will enjoy it too If you like books about hockey and personal stories. The reoccuring motif of this book is overcoming obstacles...

TheKidUpstairs Welcome to Litsy! I have fond memories of laughing at my brother for not-so-subtly stalking Dougie around a National Sports before finally getting up the courage to say hi in the parking lot. 3y
ReidEnman in order to achieve your goals. This motif is present in the book when he has to overome his small stature and people not wanting to take a change on him because of his size. He also battled adversity off the ice in the form of a brain bruse caused by a near fatal concussion that left which he played three games through before getting tested for a concussion. 3y
MissYaremcio Nicely done Reid! I know it is hard to find a motif in a non-fiction piece but you did a great job! 6/6 3y
