74 pages in and loving every second of it so far. Don is such an interesting narrator. For those of you who enjoy Big Bang Theory, it will feel like Sheldon Cooper looking for love. Definitely makes for some entertaining situations!

As someone who has struggled with body image my entire life, I admired the heroine of this story and the positive message she passed on to younger readers. The story follows Willowdean Dickson who struggled to feel proud in the body she has, in a world that shuns diversity. Dumplin' is an inspirational coming of age story that addresses society's flawed perception of perfection.

I cannot express in words how much I am enjoying this book so far! Learning heaps, and loving her comedic writing. Realistically, the emoji says it all! 😂

Downloaded a sample of this from the Kindle store.. Not sure if I can justify spending that sort of money on a beauty book.. But seeing this on the contents page instantly made me smile 😋

"He's been starved, and he shan't be baked, now he's dead." ? I can't believe this is my first time reading Little Women! This has instantly lifted my mood.

While the writing irritated me and the editing was basically non-existent, the book had some redeeming qualities. The twist near the end pulled at my heartstrings and the overall fairytale concept was interesting. A decent light read but I probably won't bother finishing the series.

For my upcoming move overseas (where I can't afford to pay for extra baggage to haul my books with me!) my mum has gifted me her old Kindle! This is my first official ebook read.. Not sure how I feel about it yet (the book or e-reading!)

Thoughts about this one? I've read some mixed review but thought I'd give it a go... Doesn't seem too bad so far. First Eugenides I've read but I like his writing style.
