Being Poe, this one borders on unhealthy obsession (plus, Annabel is, well, dead), but the cadence has always haunted me, sounding like the waves rolling onto the shore.

That time I met Poe. (Haahahhahaaaa!) Last October, my library had a viewing of The Black Cat and had a couple of local teachers and librarians read some of Poe's work. They gave out magnets that said, "Once upon a midnight dreary..."

In the spirt of @MrBook and @BookBabe ...dinner! Turkey burgers with Swiss, yellow mustard, and a bread & butter peppercorn pickle from the farmers market with some mixed veggies. The real star is this Annabel Lee White Ale! It was 80% a label buy, but definitely worth it. Crisp and refreshing like most wits, but perfectly autumnal. Also just proud 'cause this is one of the first times I've cooked a real meal in months.
