"rumpled up in my mind" ?
I finally read Little Women!! It was ok, but I didn't love it. Probably if I had read it when I was younger, I might have enjoyed it more this time around. Nevertheless, I'm excited for the Greta Gerwig adaptation coming out soon! (And yes, I bought the t-shirt before reading the book. It's so cute!)
I'm not sure about Germany but music, yes! 🎶🎹🎼🎻
Really enjoying my re-read of Little Women before I go see the new movie with a friend later this month.
This book did not disappoint. The highs and lows of the Marsh family were beautifully constructed. Looking forward to the newest film adaptation 🎬 #currentlyreading #justfinished #classics #fiction
Little Women is my latest current read. I hope to finish it before 2020 and before the new movie comes out. #littlewomen
I'm glad this is my online book club's December read, as I was wanting to finally read it before the movie adaptation hits theaters this Christmas! I'm a huge fan of some of the cast members so I will definitely be seeing it in theaters. Anyone else need to read the book before they see the movie? 😅🙋🏽♀️
So much fun to book bomb & see a copy of Little Men in this children's library. #littlewomenlibraries #littlewomenmovie #littlefreelibrary
Here are my hopeful reads for this month! I love winter reads and these ones seem perfect for the holiday season!

This book is hilarious to read as an adult! 🤣
I signed up for the Cabin Fever Club at a local library. After posting on their page, they asked for a picture. I had to include my current read and I thought I'd share my fun with each of you. I'm excited that this activity tracker is about promoting the activities at the library as well as reading! 📚
I can‘t get this free audiobook of Little Women as I am in the UK but may be of interest to my American And Canadian friends. 😔

Reading this classic and sharing my thoughts in order to stir the excitement for the books I'll be able to give away beginning next week and the movie coming out Christmas Day. #littlewomenmovie

Amy, one of this book‘s #childMCs, may soon be #frozen. And Professor Bhaer thinks some of Jo‘s more lurid writing should be a #bannedbook 😊 #movember #gratefulreads #namastenovember #multitasking (This illustration is from a French edition which, sadly, I do not own. 😕)
I'm was incredibly excited to receive this notification. Being a LFL steward has opened up another room for reading in my library life! 📚

Roll on December 26th!
I‘m so excited for this!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ https://bookstr.com/article/the-little-women-posters-are-here/
I've been in a slump ever since reading The Spriing Girls a couple weeks ago so I decided to dip into the original. I still love spending time with Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy.
I have finally read "Little Women" and much enjoyed this sweet and easy read. I understand why this book has stood the test of time and I have enjoyed following the four sisters and the life they came.
Reading slumps suck 💯 i cant get into anything and finish it
Anyone else see this article? Do you agree?

Right, work with me here...
I almost drew a blank. The only thing #HeyHay made me think of was the 1980s song Hey Little Girl by Icehouse, so I was trying to think of something with Little Girl in the title and ended up with Little Women.... Most convoluted response yet?

I am probably one of the only women I know who does not love this book. I thought it was a bore as a kid and my opinion has only marginally changed as an adult. It‘s an American classic about four impoverished sisters growing up during the Civil War and after. It‘s based on Alcott‘s own life, and apparently, she didn‘t much like her own story! https://cannonballread.com/2019/09/little-women-elcicco/
Me after finishing little women and realising the edition I have is only part one. I seriously spent the last third of the book worrying about the huge amount of plot yet to happen and the severe lack of pages left to read!! I‘m an idiot 😂🤦🏻♀️

If you‘re going to read Little Women for the first time, you need to find an edition with a decent introduction. I know not everyone reads the introduction first, but in this case it's important. I would have been adrift without a prior understanding of Louisa May Alcott‘s background and her politics and her motivations behind writing Little Women. This is the book equivalent of comfort food. I especially enjoyed the second part, as the girls grew up and their individual stories and characteristics become more developed.
Thank you @Marmie7 for tagging me!!!

I read and liked this book before I was ten. Decided to reread before the new movie, since I wasn‘t sure what I remembered from the book and what was actually the Winona movie (which I love).
While I did enjoy this audio, I think maybe the book is just a bit too sugary sweet and preachy for grown-up me. I still love Jo, but was disappointed with the way her character ends up... the whole ending seems like kind of a cop out. 😬🤷🏻♀️
⭐️⭐️⭐️
Found a lovely hardcover edition for my 11 year old daughter.

I‘m a sucker for a good adaptation, and I love this book. ❤️❤️❤️ https://youtu.be/AST2-4db4ic
No one told me this would have me sobbing in my car. Or wait- should I say “I‘m not crying- you‘re crying 😭?”
Either way. There were tears. And it‘s not quite over yet.

“She wondered what the business was that brought Mr. Bhaer to the city, and finally decided that he had been appointed to some great honor, somewhere, but had been too modest to mention the fact. If she had seen his face when, safe in his own room, he looked at the picture of a severe and rigid young lady, with a good deal of hair, who appeared to be gazing darkly into futurity, it might have thrown some light upon the subject...”
