I basically underlined this entire book and then immediately sent it to a friend. Damn this lady is smart.

This was an amazing first novel. I wrote down so many quotes from it. I think the bits were the "Mothers" were speaking could have been flushed out a little to make them work better and flow better with the rest of the book, but overall I really enjoyed this one.

This was ok. I think it was too hyped for me. But, I didn't love her other book either. (I do predict my teens will love it.)

After the first few pages, I thought perhaps this book was going to be too dry or boring for me, but I didn't have anything else to read, so I kept on. I'm so glad I did! I really enjoyed it, and it was just the survival/adventure book I needed to keep me distracted from, you know, the fall of our republic.

This was quick and smart. A good reminder that just showing up for people makes all the difference as well as practical advise on what to do and say (and what not to.)

I could NOT put this down.

I ended up not really liking the 2nd half of this book nor the main character by the end. I read it fast, so I must not have hated it, but definitely didn't love it.

Started a book about the apocalypse today. Seemed apropos. It also immediately sucked me in. (Only 50 pages in so far, so I withhold my opinion for now.)

I started this yesterday, will likely finish it today. A nice, quick, quirky book.

I enjoyed this. The writing was solid and honest and insightful. It was a little slow for me in the middle. There seemed to be no plot point that the story line was building up to? Or something? But the way the story was weaved together was enjoyable. Overall, I'm glad I read it.

Home sick on a snowy, cold day, and I'm really enjoying this so far.

I finished my first book of the year (towards my goal of 52 books for 2017). I rarely reread books, but this is one I've read over and over and it never disappoints. I keep learning so much from it, as well as being in awe anew at Annie's raw wisdom, strength, and relate-ability. I've purchased this book so many times as gifts and to replace my own copy, which I lend out and lose track of. I'll keep buying and gifting it forever, I suspect.
